1, 2014, “Frozen Summer Fun Live!” will bring to life the world of royal sisters Anna and Elsa and their fairy tale kingdom of Arendelle. Most activities are included in theme park admission. Special experiences will immerse guests in lots of Frozen fun. Here are some highlights (*schedule subject to change without notice): Anna’s & Elsa’s Royal Welcome: Each day at 11 a.m., Anna and Elsa, riding in a horse-drawn sleigh, will travel in a royal procession down Hollywood Boulevard. Rugged mountain man Kristoff is along for the fun joined by a flurry of skaters, skiers and ice cutters, all dressed in their Arendelle best. For The First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration: Inside the park’s Premiere Theater, Princess Anna and Queen Elsa join the Royal Historians of Arendelle for a fun and comedic retelling of the history of their kingdom amidst projections, lighting and special effects. Guests will be invited to join in special sing-along moments from the film’s chart-topping soundtrack. At the end of the performance, guests might find themselves becoming “Honorary Citizens of Arendelle.” The 20-minute show will be presented multiple times each day. Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post & Frozen Funland: There’s a “big summer blowout” happening inside the park’s Soundstage One, where Oaken the film’s trading post owner and his cousins have created the “Frozen Funland” amidst a winter wonderland. Living up to its name, there will be plenty of frozen festivities inside the makeshift adventure park Oaken and his cousins built to make the most of the sudden snowstorm. Part of the Oaken’s Frozen Funland will be an ice skating rink with demonstrations by some of Oaken’s talented cousins on the Arendelle ice. In addition, icy artisans will put their talents on display, creating carvings of favorite “Frozen” characters from giant frozen blocks. Kids can enjoy frozen wintertime activities in the “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” area. For all of his Frozen Funland friends, Oaken has plenty of merchandise at his Trading Post, along with hot cocoa and sweet treats available for purchase. Guests can take pictures with the film’s animated characters in a virtual setting, and then email them or share on their social media channels. When guests want to escape the icy atmosphere of Oaken’s outpost, all they have to do is look for the door marked “Sauna,” where they once again will exit to the warm Florida sun. Coolest Summer Ever Dance Party: From 5:30-9:30 p.m. each evening, a live band will take the stage to celebrate the Frozen summer fun with contemporary songs and a few familiar tunes from the film.

Disney World Facts – New York Homeschooling |

Disney World is famous for the giant princess castle that greets visitors in the Magic Kingdom.

It opened in July of 1955. Although it is still in operation (and very popular), it is much smaller than Disney World. Walt Disney was never content with the California Park and he aspired to create a much grander play place for the world. So, throughout the 1960s he secretly brought cheap land in Florida where he constructed Disney World! The first theme park to open in Disney World was The Magic Kingdom. Its first day of operation was October 1, 1971. Unfortunately, Walt Disney died in 1966 and never saw the park open. He would, however, be pleased to know that the Magic Kingdom remains the most visited of all the parks in Disney World! The proper name for Disney World is The Walt Disney World Resort . Disney World has some of the most famous rides in the world including Splash Mountain, Its a Small World, and the Flying Dumbo.

“i’m A Runner, I’m A Champion” – I Rundisney

Screen Shot 2014-06-20 at 4.21.21 PM

“I run to prove what I can do and who I am.” Most of us would expect a strong statement like that to come from an adult but it didn’t. That statement came from one of the most courageous runners I have met, 11-year-old Sarah orlando packages Kate Sligh from Fairhope, AL.
Spending time with Sarah Kate you quickly realize she is just a normal little girl. She loves her family, spends time with her little brother, plays tag with friends and enjoys school. But what hundreds of people witnessed at the finish line of the runDisney 1-Mile Kids Race at the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend presented by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals was nothing short of amazing.

As I mentioned, Sarah Kate is a runner. She belongs to the running club at school, trains with her mother and participates in races. What you will be surprised to learn is she does all of this while living with Cerebral Palsy. A neurological disease making walking difficult and running almost impossible – almost!
Sticking to her motto, “Finish strong, never stop,” Sarah Kate took on the challenge of the 1-mile run. Starting out strong she will be the first to admit her legs got tired and started to hurt. With her wheelchair always close by, she never once thought about sitting down. As the finish drew close and the crowd cheered her on, Sarah Kate responded by picking up the pace. Pushing her own wheelchair to steady herself, she crossed the finish line. A victory for Sarah Kate, a victory for everyone watching.

Not dwelling on what she can’t do, Sarah Kate focuses on what she can do. Her message, “ If you want to do something just go for it and don’t let anything stand in your way, and just finish strong.”
If you have been looking for inspiration to start a healthy active lifestyle and participate in a runDisney event, or needing motivation to push through long training runs, then please take a few minutes to watch Sarah Kate’s story. If she can do it, we all can!
Sarah Kate, you are a champion.

The kids enjoyed marshmallow roasts and smores outside their Disney Wilderness Lodge cabins. Even though we have had strong growth over the last three years, this is an exciting move for Central Florida.” Disney has been working with local food trucks for some time now. And fans of mobile food vendors may be surprised that local trucks roll on to the resort property at the invitation of Disney. Later this summer, Downtown Disney plans to open a permanent food-truck park between Bongos Cuban Cafe and the new Starbucks . And ESPN’s Wide World of Sports hosts seven to eight local food trucks at each Orlando City soccer game. But before you rev up the engine of your kitchen on wheels, keep in mind that the trucks are invited and vetted to make sure they meet the culinary standards of the Walt Disney World Resort. “The requirements to be on their list are stringent,” said Joey Conicella, co-owner of The Yum Yum Cupcake Truck. “Our baking operation as well as our truck was thoroughly inspected to meet their standards for food preparation and safety.” In addition, one of the things Disney was keen on when developing relationships with local trucks was quick service, said Conicella. “We scoped out the local food trucks before we built our vehicles, and we noticed that several trucks even the most popular ones had extensive menus which required people to wait a long time for their food, ” said Kleinschmidt. “We wanted great food with a quicker guest satisfaction. All of the Disney trucks have limited menus so that food can be in the guests’ hands in a timely manner.

5 Coolest Walt Disney World Technologies and “Innoventions” | TechnologyTell

Explosive Finale 2010

Here are five of the most brilliant and innovative technologies and innoventions inside my personal favorite park, Walk Disney World. 1. Expedition Everests Track Expedition Everest in Animal Kingdom is the worlds first roller coaster to notdrive its passengers absolutely insane with the clicking noise of the eminent ascent to the ridespeak. In fact, the clickity noiseis entirely absent from the experiencealtogether. Huzzah! The standard anti-rollback system has kept us all alive on roller coasters of yore by catching the car at inches-apart intervals to prevent the train from rolling backward and inevitably killing us all. So, I guess the irritating noise is more than justified. But on the Expedition Everest, the train ridesalong just above the sawtooth-like anti-rollback brakethat would otherwise click at you emphatically. If it begins to slow its upward movement (no bueno) the ride forces the train down into the brakes. Why this upgrade?
