Disney World Rocky Your Disney Side 24-hour party kick-off

The East Wake High School Mixed Chorus, under the direction of Amy Parker, performed at the Melody Gardens Theater in the EPCOT Park Saturday afternoon. The chorus performed a variety of numbers including, Bring Me Little Water, Silvy arranged by Moira Smiley with body percussion. Later that day, the East Wake High School Concert Band, under the direction of Alan Mason and Dwayne Barnes, entertained EPCOT Park guests with a crowd-pleasing show. The band attracted a large audience with a medley of songs from the Disney movie Frozen. This was both groups first visit to the resort with the Disney Performing Arts program. Dance, vocal and instrumental ensembles from all around the world apply to perform each year as a part of Disney Performing Arts at both the Disneyland Resort in California and the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Once selected, they are given the opportunity to perform at the resort for an international audience of theme park guests. The Best of Walt Disney World – Epcot (That’s My Opinion) by Steve Russo

I attended the first 24-hour party, One More Disney Day , at Disneyland in 2012, and last year’s “Monstrous” party at the Walt Disney World . Family obligations are keeping me from the parks this year, but everyone who can’t be there in person can follow along online with live video streams from the party. Here’s the live feed from the Magic Kingdom: These are really more webcams than true live streams, as they offer only video and no sounds. But it’s a pretty nice way to kill time on a Friday! Disneyland is offering four cams, which will capture some of the many entertainment events in the parks tonight. However, this isn’t a column to lament what’s wrong, but rather, one to celebrate what’s right with Epcot. Top Five Epcot Attractions For the Magic Kingdom I listed the top seven, mainly because there are so many attractions in that park. I’ve scaled it back a bit for Epcot but, as you’ll see, I’ve taken a few liberties and combined things. Soarin’ Soarin’. Photo by Steve Russo.
